A NEW CHAPTER FOR MEET THE KHANS SEASON 3

We’ve been waiting months to see what Amir Khan and his wife and fellow trustee of the foundation, Faryal Makhdoom would get up to in the next instalment of ‘Meet the Khans: Big in Bolton’ – and now we get to find out at last!

Series three of the smash-hit BBC Three show has landed, and it kicks off with the couple giving viewers a sneak peek of their new Cheshire home. But we also witness Amir questioning what to do after retiring from professional boxing at the age of 35. Admitting to feeling a little lost, he says: “I want to work, I want to keep myself busy, so now I need to look for something else.”

Faryal reveals she too has felt the strain after her husband’s competitive career ended following his bout with rival Kell Brook last February. “It has been hard, not just on him but on the family as well,” she says. With Amir having more free time to spend at home with the family, the couple admit to having far more arguments than normal. But with their 10-year wedding anniversary fast approaching, talk also turns to renewing their vows – just like Hollywood A-listers. “Do you really think we’re the Jay-Z and Beyoncé of Bolton?” Amir jokes.

Elsewhere in the action-packed series, Faryal’s successful modelling ventures go from strength to strength, and we see the launch of her long-awaited makeup line. With more of the action taking place in Bolton this season, Amir also gets to spend quality time with his family – and hang out with top-flight footballers in Manchester.

He also drops in at the Amir Khan Academy to spar with aspiring young boxers, while he and Faryal are seen packing up much-needed food parcels with the Amir Khan Foundation to help struggling families in Manchester as a result of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis.

With so much going on in their lives, the couple are understandably relieved to go out on the town for a cosy date night, which features in the season finale.

It’s great to have the Khans back on the box!
