The Issue

For vulnerable communities, food scarcity can wield catastrophic consequences – but as of 2020, the global Covid-19 pandemic has made things so much worse.

"Millions in Pakistan are having to decide between feeding their families or keeping their houses running with fuel. We believe no one should have to make a choice between basic necessities. Join us in the fight against food poverty."

Our Response

Our emergency winter appeal will target those most in need in both countries.

Our mobile food banks, operating across four major regions in Pakistan – Punjab, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh – ensure that substantial food supplies for families are reaching those most in need.

Each food pack contains essential food supplies, including flour, rice, oil, salt, sugar and lentils, alongside other food products that maintain a long shelf life.

Our goal is to ensure that no family is left hungry, and no child is left malnourished; this Ramadan, join us in our fight against food poverty in Pakistan by donating your zakat to the Amir Khan Foundation.
